I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday season and that your new year is going great! I, personally, am very excited for 2013.  It's off to a wonderful start, and I have a lot in store for me. I can't wait to see how it all plays out.

I had a pretty busy winter break, and I figured since I have a little off time I could post a little update. Classes start again for me on Monday, so my free time is about to become nonexistent. I'm ready for spring break already, haha.

Quick overview of stuff that's happened since back in 'nam(whenever I posted last, that is):
-I WENT TO ITALY, HELL YES.
-Left part of my heart in Italy ;u;
-Italian men are sexy
-My summer job at Family Video has turned into part-time year-round, hooray c:
-LET'S GO MOUNTAINEERS and stuff idk
-AVENGERS. OH MY GOD AVENGERS.
-The Batman movie was pretty neat. Bane is a handsome mofo. <3
-I couldn't and kind of still can't believe that Tom Hardy played Bane
-Siiingle ._. huzzah...
-Single! Huzzah!
-My Spanish class is amazing; my instructor is from Spain and he's pretty fancy.
-I HATE MATH asdfjkl;
-Team Coco ftw
-Guys Mad Men is amazing, oh my gosh
-Walking Dead season 3 starts October 14, is case you were unaware.
-I was really dreading my journalism class, but that's actually one of my favorites!
-I was deemed Best in Show at an art exhibit. Yay me. c:
-Italians. Did I mention Italians yet? I like Italians a lot.
-Um
-My life is kind of uneventful I guess
-I finished a 45 question exam in 5 minutes today because I studied so much ;u;
-Nerd-ism powers, ACTIVATE

~college rant for the first chunk of text, skip if you so desire. I just needed to blow off steam xD~

College blows already.  I had orientation and testing a couple of days ago and I could've sworn that by my test results that I was going to be put into retard math. Luckily though, I got placed into Math 126 College Algebra, so that isn't too bad. (the tests were on algebra and calculus)
I managed to get most of my schedule made during my orientation, but there were a couple of changes that would need to be made.  I wasn't aware of the fact that I had to take a Spanish placement test on my own time, so I signed up for Italian 101 until I could get that test completed.  I got home, did the test, placed into Spanish 2, and then went to look for classes to sign into.  Lo and behold, the only classes that would fit into my schedule were completely filled.  So I spent about an hour rearranging my schedule so that I'd have all of my classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with an open slot for the only available Spanish class that was left.  I went to sign up for the class, and an error occurred. I was not eligible for that class. BLASPHEMY. I called the help line, sat on hold for twenty minutes, then explained my situation to the man on the other end of the line. He was unable to help me, and I have to call a specialized department on Monday.
I swear on my life if I can't get into that Spanish class I am going to be pissed as all hell, so help me God.

ANYWAYS
College ranting aside~

I'm working at a video rental store for the summer.  It's pretty much the best job ever, I love it. <3
If you're into movies, I highly suggest The Artist.  It comes out on DVD on June 26, but I got it as a prestreet rental. Yay perks! But it's so fantastically perfect. I love it so much. <3

I will eventually get around to upload art stuff. Seriously. I will. I think I might actually upload some stuff tonight, depending on if I have the time before work, and if not, how I'm feeling after my shift.
I think the thing that I'm most excited to upload is a pair of DIY shorts I made. I took a pair of average-length jeans that look like flood pants on me(I have sooperdooper long legs) and cut them into shorts, then painted a galaxy onto one panel. They look pretty durned shweet, if I do say so myself.  I got a ton of compliments whenever I wore them out.

Anyyywaaaays. I'm not dead, just kind of busy.  I'll get around to uploading some stuff here pretty soon.

I've actually been working on a lot of stuff IRL but I never have the time to upload it. :I Hmmph.

As far as art, here's a quick rundown: (even though I'm pretty sure no one cares xD)
-I have a SHITTON of unfinished pieces saved on my computer; I'll finish them in due time I guess.
-I have a 3-piece series that I created in my advanced art class; I'll be uploading pictures of those individual pieces soon.  It consists of 2 paintings and a sculpture.
-I've been working a lot in clay; I've made a lot of pottery and a couple of wallart sculptures.
-For my senior project in high school, I chose to write a short story and attempt to get it published. It's getting published in a magazine in a few months. C:
-I have a lot of photography I haven't gotten around to uploading to the computer. Darn camera, upload your own pictures.
-I have a crapton of sketches piling up on my desk and accumulating in my school notebooks. How about that.

Some things going on in my life:
-Prom's coming up next month. C: I'm pumped. Still don't know what I'm doing with my hair and makeup though.
-My graduation is on June 5.
-I'm still trying to choose between two schools for furthering my education. I'm going into the medical field.
-I'm just tan Amanda, sitting here being tan.
-DID I MENTION I'M GETTING PUBLISHED
